Respect dare series – day 25 – Looking to the dawn

Psalm 30:5b

Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning

Glenn and I had a fair amount of hurt from our relationship and previous ones. Healing is an ongoing process that is wonderfully miraculous, but also requires faith that it will come to completion. It is also a daily choice to forgive each other small offences, or hurts. But whenever I am low in hope or optimism, God gives me renewed courage and trust that He is our Redeemer and Healer. This verse in Psalms reminds me of His promises and that He is at work.

My action for today: meditating on the above verse and thanking God for each new dawn.

My prayer for today: You are the God of the impossible. You bring two individuals together in marriage and make them one. As Glenn and I journey together, remind us to look to the morning whenever we are hurting or grieving. Amen
